Dr Rajiv Agarwal is Senior Interventional Cardiologist with over 27 years of experience. He is currently working as Senior Director and Unit Head, Department of Cardiology, Max Smart Super Speciality hospital at Saket in New Delhi.
He received his DM Cardiology training and degree from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and was Associate Professor of Cardiology in the same institute. He was also formerly Director Cath Labs, Batra Hospital and Medical Research Centre, New Delhi
Q1 – What are the current challenges in healthcare delivery?
Ans – The primary challenge faced in healthcare delivery is to generate an infrastructure which is state-of-the-art and cost effective. Secondly, how to get patients there because our emergency services and ambulance services are not upto the mark. Thirdly, to get over the trust deficit that exists and fourthly to increase the options related to financing like insurance etc.
